Prepositions In English Grammar
Preposition (पूर्वसर्ग ) : is a word placed before a noun or Pronoun to show its relation to some other word in the sentence. Example : At in , on and over , above , To , above , beside behind. A preposition is an important part of the English language. It is used to show a relationship between a noun or pronoun in a sentence and another word in the sentence.
- A preposition must always be followed by a noun or pronoun in a sentence. It can never be followed by a verb A preposition is a word which shows relationships among other words in the sentence. दो वस्तुओं के मध्य संबंध बताने वाले शब्द को संबंधकारक कहते हैं।

Confusing Preposition
At is used for Small places “At” is used when you are at the top, bottom or end of something; at a specific address; at a general location Vs In is used for Large Places But we make mistakes such as I live at Delhi or India . “In” is used in a space, small vehicle, water, neighborhood, city and country.

I would say it is context dependent and I would use beneath in both cases, and maybe not under if I meant the ground in general.
